What are typical goals in team development?
What are typical goals in team development?
With team development we want to achieve that strong personalities come together to form a stable and flexible unit.
Differences are welcome in this unit.
There are proven strategies for resolving conflicts.
It is critical to the good development of a team to find goals that include room for individual concerns.
Team development is an ongoing process.
In our hypnosystemic practice in Frankfurt we offer supervision, conflict resolution, systemic advice, burnout prevention and intervention.
Team development and organizational development are our focus.

Human behavior is not dictated by conditions that humans encounter, but by decisions that they make themselves. Viktor E. Frankl
Management supervision – in the team or above the team?
Supervision: definition – when, for whom and with what result?
People benefit from supervision not only in psychosocial work. We offer supervision as professional advice on personal and sustainable development for different types of organizations and companies. Whether it is about acute and concrete conflicts or improving collegial, successful cooperation: Supervision has established itself as a method for analytical-perspective reflection.
Supervision – occasions
When does supervision make sense?
Regular, professional supervision can e.g. B. help to resolve an escalated (serious) conflict. Structurally weak teams can improve their cooperation. Professional advice can be offered when employees are to be motivated to discuss problems, to accentuate issues and to remove obstacles to communication.
In other words: Supervision can clarify the work in the team by means of an overarching, specifically set goal and gather the employees for a common task.

Areas of application of supervision
Supervision also for commercial enterprises?
Supervision is well suited for optimizing work both in an educational-social context and in companies. The spectrum of supervision for companies ranges from medium-sized to large companies as well as international organizations. As systemic organizational consultants we work:
e.g. with the female manager who has to face new challenges in a male-dominated field (classic individual supervision)
with teams that want to reflect which influences tend to hinder them at work (in this example it is assumed that work is subject to conflict)
with the client (manager or employee) who would like to individually reflect on how he can better use and develop his skills
in the format of team supervision and individual supervision (anonymous group supervision is rather unthinkable in the context of business)
Participants in supervision
Who carries out the supervision? Who will benefit from supervision?
We are supervised by experienced supervisors. People who make use of supervision are supervisees (see also coach / coachee and consultants / clients). Supervisors in economic supervision can be employees as well as executives up to top management. As supervisors for commercial enterprises, we have extensive expertise in systemic consulting in the context of organizational psychology, group dynamics and marketing.
Results of supervision
What is the use of supervision? How can supervision advance teams, companies and organizations?
The result of well-managed supervision can be read from the group dynamic process. A conflict that has already escalated can be resolved through supervision. The obvious conflict that everyone has (understandably) wanted to ignore so far comes in communication. The supervising accompaniment of the individual persons brings both the technical skills in communication and the concerns.
Experience with professional supervision shows that resources are strengthened, job satisfaction increases and sickness levels decrease. These results are possible because supervision creates an outside perspective (meta perspective) for all those involved. The focus is no longer on person A who has a problem with B. The focus is on the quality of interaction in teams and organizations.
Supervision in the Rhine-Main area
Are you looking for supervision in and around Frankfurt?
Our supervisees come from Frankfurt, Offenbach, Eschborn, Wiesbaden, Bad Homburg, Hanau and other places up to approx. 50 km around Frankfurt. Upon request, we can also hold the supervision meetings in the rooms of our clients. Whole or half supervision days in the form of workshops with special topics are ideal for appointments away from home. For economic planning, we try to schedule appointments at certain locations on the same day. Talk to us if you would like to have a supervision carried out on your premises in the Rhine-Main area.
Johannes Faupel, author of the specialist book “Burnout Prevention and Intervention” published by Springer Gabler Wiesbaden in 12/2019, works in the team at the Supervision Center Frankfurt.
Our attitude as consultants
In supervision and counseling, we work with a health concept: with healthy realism in relation to what is achievable in each case, with a competence-oriented description of phenomena (so-called symptoms). Many crisis situations can be relaxed with a realistic definition of goals.
In most cases, an appreciative adjustment of goals (Dr. Gunther Schmidt speaks of “longing goals” and the second best solution) is very beneficial.
It is explained in a few words why we also work with supervision where others think that only psychotherapy can help. In psychotherapy, the rules and roles are usually tightly specified: here the “knowing” therapist – there the deficient patient who should learn the “correct” behavior from the therapist in order to get along in life. To make matters worse, you often have to wait weeks or months for a place in psychotherapy. This also worsens the conditions for recovery. That is why we do not offer therapy, but supervision. The center of attention at the center for supervision is the competence of the clients.
As supervisors and consultants, we are well networked with internists in Frankfurt and with psychosomatically oriented specialists. This ensures a holistic view of our clients’ situations. Two examples for the background:
• A thyroid malfunction can have severe effects on the psyche
• An unresolved conflict can unbalance the metabolism.
In both cases it would be too short to look at and deal with only one side.
